Sunday, March 21, 2010
LOS ANGELES, CA - “Today’s health insurance reform vote is historic. President Obama and Speaker Pelosi should be commended for their efforts to successfully pass this crucially needed legislation. Californians will no longer have to worry about starting a business or changing their job for fear of losing their health care, or having a preexisting condition go uncovered, or having their coverage rescinded by insurers or facing an annual or lifetime limits on coverage. Those are real and desperately needed reforms.”
Prior to serving in public office, Bass worked for nearly a decade as a Physician Assistant and served as a Clinical Instructor at the USC Keck School of Medicine Physician Assistant Program.
Bass is currently running for the California’s 33rd district seat in the House of Representatives that is being vacated by the Honorable Diane Watson, who announced she would be retiring later this year. In addition to receiving Congresswoman Watson's endorsement, Bass had been officially endorsed for by Senator Dianne Feinstein, Congresswoman Maxine Waters, Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, City Controller Wendy Greuel and other elected officials and organizations including EMILY’s list.
