Throughout this year, despite cuts to education causing major anxiety on my campus, I've never felt more represented as a California student. This is primarily because Speaker Emeritus Karen Bass, who represents the district my university, is in, was always visiting our campus, talking to us and explaining what was going on in the state legislature. I support Karen Bass because she is invested in her community and her constituents. Her concern for how her decisions and the decisions of our government affect students and the community has made this difficult year for higher education much less worrisome for me.

Goodlife with Gabby: Community Organization
Our GoodLife with Gabby Dancers encourages and teaches kids the importance of living healthy lifestyles in a fun and exciting way! The skits, dances and songs performed are all about nutrition, exercise, and good health. Karen Bass acknowledged the dance team for their outstanding work in the community and we continue to work with her office to reach even more kids. Karen is responsible for the Annual Well Body - Well Mind Community Health Fair and we were thrilled to participate!
